Behavior analysis is a field of study that involves the scientific study of behavior and its relationship with the environment. SCRD aims to demonstrate functional relationships between the independent and dependent variables for individual participants. Group research, on the other hand, draws conclusions based on data analyzed at the group level.

Although both SCRD and group research are quantitative approaches in behavior analysis, they differ in terms of the level of accuracy in data collection. In SCRD, researchers have more detailed and comprehensive data, while group research relies on randomly collected data from large numbers of participants. The focus of SCRD is on controlling variables to increase the strength of effects or to reduce noise in the data, whereas group research focuses on group statistics.

SCRD provides a useful method for evaluating interventions aimed at behavior and emotions that require repeated measurement of behavior over time. It requires the active participation of individuals to observe changes in their behavior. In contrast, group research is based on the compilation of a large amount of data and does not require repeated measurement.

Applied behavior analysis is guided by seven dimensions, including generality, effectiveness, technological, applied, conceptually systematic, analytic, and behavioral. Interventions must be relevant to the client and the community, and detailed techniques must be identified and described. These interventions should also be based on real-life studies and principles of behavior analysis, with data collected and analyzed to make data-based decisions. Observing and measuring behavior are essential in changing behavior, and SCRD is a useful tool in gathering data and tracking behavior changes over time.
