Having completed my Secondary Education Examination (SEE) from Mount Everest English Boarding School in 2018 with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.70, I became even more fascinated with the limitless potential of computers and technology. I subsequently enrolled in the computer science program at Arniko Awasiya Secondary School and gained an understanding of various aspects of physics, computers, and math, eventually graduating from high school in 2020 with a CGPA of 3.35.

Work Experience:

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, I took it as an opportunity to upskill myself in web development. I took a web development course from the Odin Project and started coding at the Mozilla Developer Network, subsequently exploring my skills in creating various static websites. I became proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, C, and C++. After gaining sufficient experience working as a frontend developer at Advance Computer Center from July to December 2022 and as an intern there from December 2021 to May 2022, I gained valuable knowledge about the Nepali market and industry demands. This experience further fueled my determination to pursue higher education and make the most of the opportunity.

English Proficiency

I took the IELTS test on July 23, 2022, and obtained an overall band score of 7.0, with individual scores of 8.0 for listening, 7.0 for reading, 6.0 for writing, and 6.0 for speaking.

During my work experience, I realized that the knowledge I had acquired to that point was inadequate to fully comprehend the core concepts of web design and development. As I embarked on a quest to find an appropriate course that would provide me with the strong foundations I needed, I discovered the Diploma in Interactive Media Design Web course at Georgian College, which perfectly aligned with my career goals and interests. The course curriculum covers a variety of topics, including web development (Client side & Server side), digital marketing, data structures, and content management, among others. This course will provide me with extensive practical knowledge and hands-on experience, which I believe is critical for learning advanced web development and UI/UX designing.

Furthermore, as an enthusiastic learner and believer in the 'Learn By Doing' philosophy, I am confident that the Diploma in Interactive Media Design Web at Georgian College will offer me the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and a solid foundation to develop successful careers in the technology industry. The program also includes a Co-op, which will allow me to gain practical experience working as an intern at a tech company, as well as further expanding my professional network.
